Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
As we begin this wonderful day of Thanksgiving, I have a question for you…
What are you thankful for?
I’m not referring to the good times. It’s easy to be grateful when everything is going well. I’m talking about the things that triggers you, the choices that have caused unlikeable circumstances and upsets, is there anything you can be grateful for?
About a year and a half ago I decided to make an after dinner and right before bed time ritual in our household, we write down 3 things that we are grateful during our day and why we are grateful for it. We each have a journal or book and every night we write down either huge things that made us happy, or small things that we were grateful that happened during the day. This little ritual helps us end the day on a good note right before going to bed.
Everyday we are faced with ups and downs and we have to make a choice on how we would like our day to be described as.
I encourage all of you to pick up your own journal and start writing what you are thankful for during each and everyday of your life and within weeks you will start noticing a difference on how you focus on the downs throughout your days.
