Those close to me know how much I enjoy summer. I love the sun, sand, and salty water, sun light savings and everything else that comes with summer days! They also know the fear that the summer months bring into my life.
Exactly a decade ago my life changed in ways that I thought only happened in movies, horror movies. For the most part my fear takes over me all year round, and it seems to kick in so much more during the months of June - September.
Just this past week someone close to me was faced with a very similar situation and I have to say that my nerves kicked in to survival mode. I hadn't felt those types of feelings this year yet.
Watching this close individual go through something like this brought so many painful memories and it reminded me WHY I started doing what I do.
YES, I love nutrition and I love health. Nutrition is such a small part of becoming healthy and striving to be the best version of yourself.
Being healthy is so much more than just losing weight; being healthy is about a whole balance of who you are, you need a balance of eating healthy, exercising and making sure your mind is able to keep calm. Stress is stress, no matter if it involves nutrition or your mind running because of your own thoughts or the environment around you.
Stress retains FAT.
As you see one is connected to the other!
Throughout the past decade I have learned to take my all time fear and turn it into my best friend. I started to look at it as my top teacher in life.
